Following the death of Benzir Bhutto president Musharaf has been considered a suspect (on the basis of a non signed email allegedly sent by Bhutto, to a journalist, shortly before her death). However Benazir's death now means that the President has lost even further control of Pakistan powerful intelligence service and clique of generals. Men who were first made powerful during Musharaf's predecessor, General Zia's, time in office in the eighties - at the height of the Soviet war in Afghanistan. Alternatively American analysts have been quick to name Al Quaeda as the prime suspect though the professionalism of the alleged assassin has been widely reported as not being in line with Al Queada's usual tactic's - or is at less evident that the Islamic terrorist were receiving assistance from parties within Pakistan security forces. Historic evidence however may suggest that another suspect, an immensely powerful foe who transcends both ideologies and borders DEADLINE REINVESTIGATES.*

"July 1977, Pakistan's Prime Minister, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, was overthrown in a CIA-backed coup led by General Mohammed Zia Al-Haq. It is his daughter Benazir Bhutto's belief that the motive behind this coup and Zulfikar's subsequent execution, lay in his initiation of a nuclear technology program (with Gaullist France's assistance)-a decision that Henry Kissinger, in person, had warned could lead to Pakistan being turned into a "horrible example". Once Zia had obtained control, the CIA promptly moved in en masse, and its overseas station in Pakistan soon became its largest.4 This action resulted out of National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski's desire to engage the Soviet Union in what he termed "their Vietnam": the Afghanistan war. In a move to recruit soldiers for the Afghanistan civil war, the CIA and Zia encouraged the region's Islamic people to think of the conflict in terms of a jihad (holy war). Thus was fundamentalism promoted. In return, General Zia, surfing on his image as the great Islamic crusader, built up a loyal following amongst the Pushwar people who inhabited the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan. General Zia was quick to utilise their loyalty to staff his army and security forces.
However, Zia was not adept enough to know when a good thing was coming to an end. The arrival of glasnost meant nothing to Zia and he continued to preach the message that had secured his power. General Zia appeared not even to have had a glimmer of suspicion when the US, via the Council on Foreign Relations (another control tool of Kissinger and Brzezinski), lobbied for the release of Benazir Bhutto from house arrest in 1984. The elected spokesmen for this task were US Democrat Rhode Island Senator Clairborne Pell, Edward Kennedy, and the State Department's Peter Galbraith (a college classmate of Benazir Bhutto).6
The Kennedy clout aside, it was an interesting selection. Clairborne Pell's past was as a member of the intelligence subcommittee, whereas Peter Galbraith's future lay in diplomatic service.8 Benazir Bhutto's initial release would prove useful in undermining Zia's control, and in 1985 she won the General Assembly elections. Though Zia would contest the results, he remained a threat to Bhutto (and an embarrassment to America) until his plane crashed the following year. Many suspect the 'accident' of being engineered.9
Despite Benazir Bhutto's assistance in undermining Zia's influence, she was clearly not the Council on Foreign Relations' desired puppet. For it was not until 1993 (two dismissed governments and two assassination attempts later) that Benazir was able to wrestle control away from Zia's number two, President Ghulam Ishaq Kha (Chairman of the Senate under Zia's administration). Her comparatively secure position is attributed by many to be as a result of her belief in intelligence and her ruthless approach to global politics. It is clear that she has no illusions as to who is behind the promotion of Islamic terrorism. For just before her recent visit to the US, she held a press conference where she stated:
"The question that arises is, who was the mastermind that saw that the World Trade Center should be bombed and that I should be eliminated from the [1993] elections...? "I would feel that it is those individuals who were involved in the Afghan jihad because they were then brainwashed [literally ( author's note)] to believe that it was the duty of any Muslim to spread Islam through terror.10 ("Bhutto Reveals Assassination Plot", The Christchurch Press, 20 March 1995).
Added note: the same article also identified the 1993/1995, would be bombers/assassins, according to Bhutto, as been backed by individuals "more interested in oil than Islam".
It would seem that her remarks and subsequent comments, which, in political speech, translate as "I have a secret: shall I reveal it?", hit a nerve. The arms embargo, imposed upon Pakistan for Benazir Bhutto's continuation of Pakistan's nuclear program, was lifted.13 The slim majority of US Congress's agreement to do so indicates the presence of severe lobbying upon the issue. As a consequence, Pakistan will now receive delivery of US$368 million in military equipment purchased under the Zia administration, and the revival of tens of millions of dollars worth of economic aid and US loans. It shall probably also mean greater International Monetary Fund- provided assistance.14 As far as Congress is aware, Pakistan is not required to do anything in return. The sudden goodwill towards Pakistan makes it clear that interested parties do not want the issue of the New York Trade Center bombing to resurface."

(1)The two attacks referred to by Bhutto, prior to her US trip, were master minded by 'terrorist' Yousef Ramzi.*
*Though much has been written on Ramzi, in relation to his alleged history and alleged backers, little of the public material available on Ramziis is reliable. Even today Ramzi, who remains under arrest, is an enigma wrapped in a riddle surrounded in hear say . perhaps the most accurate description of Ramzi is to say that Ramzi worked for a number of employers and is strictly speaking more assassin (gun for hire) than a genuine terrorist motivated purely ideological reasons alone.
(2) When arrested for his role in the 1993 WTC attack Ramzi would swear that "next" time he would destroy the WTC completely. In 1995 a Ramzi 'terror' cell was broken in the Philippines and a lap top computer with details of a plot ('Operation Bojinka') to fly 747's into 12 buildings in the USA; including the White House, the Pentagon and the WTC was found by Philippine police investigators. Numerous articles about Operation Bojinka appeared in print well before 911.*
* Despite the wide spread pre 911 publicity surrounding Bojinka the Bush administration continue to maintain that there was no evidence to warn US intelligence that a kamikaze attack by a civilian air bus was eminent.
(3) July 2001, the future director of security at the WTC, John O'Neil, (who died during the 2001 WTC attacks) quits the FBI's counter terrorism office (based in New York), claiming that the Bush administrations and Saudi oil dollars were prohibiting genuine investigation of Islamic terrorist groups. */**

**Investigations, conducted by government investigators in more than 30 nations on six continents unearth that asides from embezzling more than $US 18 billion BCCI was also heavily involved in money laundering, drug dealing, arms smuggling, human trafficking, assassination and terrorism on a billion dollar level. CASE IN POINT: The 1987 assassination of Indian Prime Minister Rajv Ghandi. According to India's 1991 Royal Inquiry [ the Justice Jain Inquiry] Gandhi's assassination was directly funded by BCCI who according to the jain inquiry also serviced several other accounts used to "engineer" assassination or terrorist attacks using a number of well known terrorists including Yousef Ramzi. In many cases the terrorist accounts at BCCI could also be found to have received money originating from the intelligence services of the US, Israel, China as well as the traditional 'terrorist' states of Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia.
CASE IN POINT: BCCI was used by the CIA to fund the Mujhaddein in Afghanistan. For every dollar that the CIA paid the Mujahaddein Islamic guerillas a dollar was also put in by Saudi Arabia. China also funded the Mujahaddein using BCCI for this purposet. It is highly probable that BCCI also handle the profits made by the Mujhaddein through their opium and Marijuana farming in the same manner that BCCI had handled the money relating to weapons purchased by the American backed contras in Nicaragua who were in turn smuggling cocaine to get the money for arms.
(5) The FBI's, NY counter terrorism office, failed to act on evidence of a pending attack (by terrorists planning to use aircraft in suicide attacks) collected by its own agents, on fifteen separate occasions.
(6) Following 911 it has widely been reported that the 911 terrorist received funding from no less than the head of the ISI which was funneled through the Swiss based Islamic fascist bank Al Taqwa (Fear of God) run by former Neo Nazi Ahmed Huber . less widely reported is the fact that Al Taqwa had prior to 911 been named in print on at less tow occasions prior to 911 as been a conduit, used by the CIA to fund the Egyptian Muslim Brother Hood In relation to the CIA's role in backing the Muslim Brotherhood (for pre 911 references to Al Taqwa see The Mercury Tasman 21.3.95, The New York Time 22.10. 98). */**
* Al Taqwa is the only genuine means (but rarely mentioned for soon to be obvious reasons) to date that the U.S. has been able to directly link the 911 terrorist to Saddam Hussein. According to FOX news Al Taqwa was used by Saddam during the 'Oil for Food (for arms)' scandal as the conduit used to pay western firms (also linked to India and Pakistan nuclear program) supplying Iraq with weapons technology. CASE IN POINT; Rockwell International the US military contractors who sold military technology to Iraq under the food for scheme and whose directors included BCCI's CEO the emir of Abu Dhabi Zayed bin Sultan al . Nahayan.
CASE IN POINT; Feb 23, 1992 The LA Times discovers that in 1989 American Secretary of State James Baker, met with Iraqi foreign minister Tariq Aziz in October 1989, to intervened personally in providing loans for Iraq used to obtain weapons to support U.S. government loans guarantees to Iraq." In October 3, the Wall Street Journal report how The intelligence service of the U.S. government were working closely with the intelligence service of the Iraqi government.'
** John Loftus, a former Deputy US Attorney General, was employed to prosecute Nazi war criminals. He has written extensively on the Nazi links to the Muslim Brotherhood and notes the interesting fact that material on the Muslim Brotherhood, held by the CIA during his time of prosecuting war criminals, had vanished by the time that future whistle blower Robert Baer (who claims that the CIA files on the Muslim Brotherhood consisted of a few newspaper cuttings) had joined the CIA. (7) At the time of writing it has also been pointed out by a former Pakistan resident that it was one of Bhutto aims if she won the election to start handing over details in relation to the question of who had provided Pakistan with the western technology used in Pakistan's nuclear program.
(8) In 1988 President George Bush son Bush jnr firm, Arbusto (Spanish for Bush), was purchased by Harken energy and Bush was subsequently made a director of Harken energy. Bush co directors at Harken included Osama Bin Laden older brother Salem Bin Laden (later killed in a pane crash). Shortly afterwards Bush became a director Harken, despite having no experience, won billions in contracts for oil exploration in the gulf kingdom of Bahrain. It is widely suspected that the deal was engineered by BCCI. The suspicion s corroborated by knowing that John Bath the US 'front man' for one of the principle shareholders at BCCI Sheik Khalid Mahfouz (chairman of the National Commerce Bank of Saudi Arabia . the bank which also handled the Mujahaddein CIA accounts at the Saudi end) claims that money which allowed Bush to start Arbusto came from Mahfouz ,via Bath, to begin with. *
*Another man to bring BCCI into the US was James Riady, the head of Lippo Group, filmed shaking hands with Bill Clinton in Auckland NZ during the 1999 APEC conference (SEE PHOTO BELOW). At the time Riady was a wanted in the USA for the crime of having mademore than 123 illegal election contributions to Clintons political party the Democrats.
(9) In 1997 James Baker and Adnan Kashoggi (the arms dealer named by the Jain inquiry as the man principally connected to the BCCI accounts used to "engineer" assassinations and terrorism) established the Caucasian Commonwealth Investment Bank (CCIB). Today in the killing fields of Chechnya CCIB is forfilling the same role carried out by BCCI, in Afghanistan in the 80's when the CIA used the bank and Islamic terrorism to drag Russia into "its own Vietnam",*/**
* In the mid 80's Mahfouz also purchased the Texas Commerce Bank Tower off Bush Senior Secretary of Treasury (and Bush jnr former Secretary of State and election campaign manager), for $200 million well above the property estimated value. On September 11th 2001 James Baker could be found watching the attack on the Twin Towers in the company of the Bin Laden family who like Baker and Bush senior are directors in the world's largest private equity firm (more than $12 billion in assets including extensive interest in the military industrial complex)the Carlyle Group. Following 9/11, Baker was hired by the Saudi's to defend them against a trillion-dollar lawsuit filed against Saudi Arabia by the families of the 9/11 victims.
